Trauma Therapy and EMDR
Many misunderstand trauma to be an event rather than effect. For this reason unaddressed traumatic effects are far more prevalent than many people realize, causing symptoms such as sleeplessness, difficulty concentrating, GERD, heart issues, intimacy issues, and many more. PTSD symptoms involving flashbacks and panic can even develop. Identifying and processing past trauma can unlock new hope and potential for a life free from these symptoms.
In some cases, it may be beneficial for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to be utilized. EMDR is an eight-phase integrative psychotherapy approach that has been extensively researched and proven effective for the treatment of trauma in a highly efficient manner.
